Bayern Munich fought back from a goal down at Hoffenheim to return to the Bundesliga summit and equal the record of 36 league matches without defeat.
Mid-table Hoffenheim opened the scoring through teenage defender Niklas Sule, but Bayern levelled within five minutes when striker Mario Mandzukic tapped in.
And their comeback was completed by Germany forward Thomas Muller, who drilled in Franck Ribery's pass.
Pep Guardiola's men are a point ahead of Borussia Dortmund after 11 games.
Bayern will eclipse Hamburg's 30-year-old record if they manage to avoid defeat against Augsburg next weekend.
They have not lost a Bundesliga match since they were beaten 2-1 by Bayer Leverkusen in October 2012.
Meanwhile, third-placed Leverkusen suffered a shock 1-0 defeat at bottom club Eintracht Braunschweig on Saturday.
