Bury recorded their second away win of the season as they defeated Hartlepool.

Danny Mayor fired the Shakers into an early lead, his low shot from 20 yards deceiving goalkeeper Scott Flinders.

Daniel Nardiello latched onto a slide-rule pass to curl a shot beyond Flinders from 18 yards for 2-0.

The Shakers clinched a comprehensive win with defender Richard Hinds sweeping in from close range after a long Frederic Veseli free-kick landed in the penalty area.

Bury manager David Flitcroft told BBC Radio Manchester:

"The two results we've just got are down to good planning, good preparation and a group of players that are really committed to a game plan.

"Three goals away from home is good but a clean sheet, with the treacherous conditions, I'm delighted with the boys. To a man, they were outstanding."
