St Mirren captain Jim Goodwin has been dealt a two-match ban by the Scottish Football Association's disciplinary tribunal for striking Dundee United's Stuart Armstrong with his forearm.
Goodwin struck the Terrors midfielder in their Boxing Day match in Paisley.
The club said on its Twitter account that it accepts the "offer", as the tribunal calls it.
The Irishman will miss league matches away to Kilmarnock on 2 January then at home to Celtic on Sunday.
Buddies manager Danny Lennon said prior to Sunday's 1-1 draw with Hearts that he had no qualms about selecting Goodwin, describing him as "a very important player" for the Paisley side.
When asked if he expected to be contacted by the SFA's compliance officer Vincent Lunny on Monday about the Armstrong incident, Lennon replied: "We know the qualities that Jim has, we know the demons that Jim Goodwin has, and that is just part of the nature of his game.
"The only one who can go out there and control that is Jim Goodwin."
