Transfer window: Ex-Bury striker Shaun Harrad joins Alfreton Town

Conference Premier side Alfreton Town have signed striker Shaun Harrad on a contract until the end of the season following his release by Bury.

The 29-year-old ended his two-and-a-half-year Shakers spell on Thursday by mutual consent after scoring twice in 22 appearances this season.

In total, Harrad played 44 times for Bury, and had loan spells at Rotherham and Cheltenham while at Gigg Lane.

Harrad, who came through the ranks at Notts County, will wear the number 24.
