Forest Green Rovers 4-0 Salisbury City

In-form Forest Green Rovers dented Salisbury's hopes of a play-off place with an emphatic victory.

Aarran Racine put the home team ahead with a well-taken finish into the bottom corner from 18 yards.

Jared Hodgkiss drilled a shot into the top corner from just outside the penalty area before half-time.

Lee Hughes added a third by converting Matt Taylor's cross, and substitute Yan Klukowski nodded home another Taylor cross in injury time to seal victory.

Forest Green manager Adrian Pennock told BBC Gloucestershire:

"That was a big one. They're a good team - they're above us and they've been playing really well.

"I was impressed by us. The work-rate has been spot on.

"I made a couple of changes from Saturday to get some fresh legs in and I thought we scored some really good goals."

Salisbury City manager Mikey Harris told BBC Wiltshire:

"I'd like to apologise to the fans that came here tonight.

"I'm sure, like me, they came here with high hopes following a great result against Luton.

"But we didn't follow that up. I've said all season that a win on a Saturday is great, but you have to follow it up on the Tuesday.

"We've let the next game pass us by and we've missed out on a fantastic opportunity."
