CHAN 2014: Winners will pocket US$750,000

The Confederation of African Football (Caf) has revealed the winners of this year's African Nations Championship will collect US$750,000.

Caf made the prize money known ahead of this weekend's quarter-finals of the tournament for home-based players.

The money would be a major boost for any of the last-eight teams in South Africa, with even African champions Nigeria struggling financially.

A total of $3.2m will be shared among the 16 participants.
