Colchester United's home game against Rotherham has been postponed because of a waterlogged pitch at the Weston Homes Community Stadium.
Referee Brendan Malone carried out a pitch inspection at 08:30 GMT on Saturday morning and decided the playing surface was unplayable.
"We took the covers off and underneath it was very wet," he said.
"With the forecast of more rain to follow later, I called the match off in agreement with both management teams."
No new date for the fixture has yet been announced.
