Port Vale 1-0 Milton Keynes Dons

Port Vale ended MK Dons' run of five away wins in a row with a goal from substitute Jordan Hugill.

The Dons bossed the early stages and nearly took the lead when Izale McLeod's 18-yard drive smacked the bar.

Hugill, on after half an hour when Tom Pope was stretchered off with an ankle injury, went close to opening the score before both sides hit the woodwork.

But two minutes into the second half, Hugill pounced on a defensive mix-up to roll the ball in from 12 yards.
