Irish Premiership: Coleraine 1-1 Ballymena Utd
- Published
A 90th-minute Ally Teggart penalty ensured that Ballymena took a point from a low-key derby game against Coleraine at Ballycastle Road.
The Bannsiders had taken the lead 10 minutes before half-time when Eoin Bradley fired home a spot-kick after being fouled by Michael Ruddy.
Earlier Bradley had hit the post with a header, while Aaron Shanahan tipped Bradley and Davy McDaid efforts wide.
Gavin Taggart and Mark Kelly went close for Ballymena in the second half.
Taggart saw a spectacular long-range effort from inside his own half tipped over by Eugene Ferry and then Kelly's back-heel was cleared off the line by Howard Beverland.
Teggart made no mistake from the spot for the equaliser after Beverland was adjudged to have handled in the area.
Irish Cup finalists United remain 10 points clear of their derby rivals in the table, with Oran Kearney's side just two points ahead of 11th-placed Warrenpoint Town as they aim to avoid a potential relegation-promotion play-off.
