Glens beat Crues at The Oval

Both sides finished with 10 men as Glentoran beat Belfast rivals Crusaders in an ill-tempered Premiership clash.

Curtis Allen scored the opener in the sixth minute with a direct free-kick while Nathan Hanley of Crusaders had a penalty saved by keeper Elliott Morris.

John McGuigan shot the Glens 2-0 up in the 69th minute before Crues skipper Colin Coates was sent-off for aiming a punch at Stephen Gordon.

Allen was sent-off for kicking out and Danny McKee netted Glentoran's third.

The red card for Allen came after the former Inverness Caley front man had flicked a foot out at Declan Caddell after a midfield clash.

He will now be suspended for Tuesday's derby clash against his old club Linfield.
