Peterborough United: Tommy Rowe among five released
- Published
Peterborough have responded to failing to win promotion by releasing Tommy Rowe, Daniel Kearns, Nat Knight-Percival, Craig Alcock and Peter Grant.
Captain Rowe, 25, ends five years at the club and scored nine times in 43 games this season, culminating in Tuesday's League One play-off semi-final defeat by Leyton Orient.
Defenders Knight-Percival and Alcock were also regulars this term.
Keeper Bobby Olejnik is one of nine players to be transfer-listed.
Posh have a policy of transfer-listing any player entering the final year of their contract.
Therefore 27-year-old Olejnik, who kept 22 clean sheets this season, Joe Day, Nicky Ajose, Nathaniel Mendez-Laing, Charlie Coulson, Michael Richens, Kane Ferdinand, Tyrone Barnett and Shaun Brisley have all been told they may be sold.
Defender Mark Little and forward Danny Swanson have been offered new deals.
