David Forde: Millwall goalkeeper signs new contract

Forde began his career at Galway United and has had spells at Barry Town, Derry City and Cardiff

Millwall goalkeeper David Forde has signed a new three-year contract with the Championship club.

The 34-year-old, whose deal was due to expire this month, has made 279 appearances for the Lions since moving to The Den from Cardiff in 2008.

"I suppose it's been an ongoing saga," the Republic of Ireland international told the club website.

"I'm chuffed that we've managed to get it sorted. Going forward I think we can be really successful."
