Napoli manager Rafael Benitez has ruled out bringing Liverpool goalkeeper Pepe Reina back to the club.

Spain international Reina has two years left on his contract at Anfield but spent last season on loan with the Italians.

Reina, 31, said he was open to the possibility of returning to the Serie A club next season.

But Benitez, who also worked with Reina at Liverpool, said: "We don't seek a goalkeeper."

Napoli have three senior keepers in their squad - Rafael Cabral, Mariano Andujar and Roberto Colombo.

Brazilian Cabral, 24, is expected to be first choice next season after recovering from a knee injury sustained in February.

Benitez added: "Rafael, with whom I keep in touch often to monitor his progress first hand, Andujar and Colombo are a sufficient guarantee for our goal."
