Padovani joined Portsmouth in May 2013 but failed to make his mark

Romain Padovani has left League Two side Portsmouth by mutual consent after a single season at Fratton Park.

The French midfielder signed a two-year deal in May 2013, on a free transfer, after leaving Monaco.

However, the 24-year-old only made 22 appearances for Pompey and scored his only goal in a 1-0 victory over Dagenham & Redbridge in December 2013.

Padovani is the 11th player to leave Portsmouth this summer and that list includes the departure of Jake Jervis.
