League One club Crawley Town have signed Portsmouth defender Sonny Bradley for an undisclosed fee.

The 22-year-old, who can play at centre-back or left-back, featured 38 times for Pompey last season and has agreed a two-year deal with the Reds.

"Sonny is a commanding defender and someone I have been targeting for some time," said Crawley boss John Gregory.

"We have good depth in our central defensive positions now but Sonny will be challenging for a regular place."

Bradley began his career at Hull City and had two separate loan spells at Aldershot Town, making 56 league appearances for the Shots when the Hampshire side were in League Two.

He only made two senior appearances for the Tigers and moved to Fratton Park last summer.

Bradley becomes Crawley's fifth summer signing, following the arrivals of midfielder Jimmy Smith, goalkeeper Brian Jensen and defenders Ryan Dickson and Lanre Oyebanjo.
