Scunthorpe have signed striker Lyle Taylor from League One rivals Sheffield United for an undisclosed fee.

The 24-year-old has agreed a two-year contract to become the Iron's third addition since securing promotion.

Since starting in non-league football, Taylor has had spells with Bournemouth, Millwall, Falkirk and the Blades - whom he played just twice for in one year.

"It didn't happen for me at Sheffield United but that's football. I'm looking forward to a fresh start," he said.

Taylor joins Neale Bishop and Jennison Myrie-Williams as summer arrivals at Glanford Park.
