Ipswich Town have signed goalkeeper Bartosz Bialkowski from Notts County for an undisclosed fee.

The Poland-born 27-year-old has played 92 times since joining County from Southampton two years ago and still had a year remaining on his contract.

He has signed a two-year deal at Ipswich, with the option of a further 12 months.

While the fee is undisclosed, Town boss Mick McCarthy this week played down the prospect of paying large sums.

Bialkowski has had a previous spell at Ipswich, while on loan at the end of the 2008-09 season, but failed to make an appearance.

He started his career in his native Poland before joining Southampton in 2006, where he played 42 times.
