Celtic manager Neil Lennon had high hopes for Fridjonsson when he signed, saying the Icelander had "very good potential"
Celtic's Icelandic forward Holmbert Fridjonsson has joined Brondby on loan, with the Danish side having the option to buy him at the end of the season.
The Iceland Under-21 international arrived in Glasgow from Fram Reykjavik in January for £100,000 and signed a four-year deal.
Neither Neil Lennon nor the current Celtic manager Ronny Deila has given the 21-year-old a competitive game.
He played in a Celtic side that lost 6-1 to Spurs in a friendly last month.
