Darren Murray scored his fourth league goal of the season

Portadown moved up to fifth place in the Irish Premiership table tanks to a narrow victory over Dungannon Swifts at Shamrock Park.

Darren Murray headed in his fourth league goal of the season in the 31st minute to seal the home win.

It was Peter McMahon who delivered the cross with the Ports striker stooping to force the ball in.

Portadown had other chances but were thwarted by some fine saves by Dungannon goalkeeper Andy Colman.

It was a fourth successive league defeat for Darren Murphy's Dungannon side.
