Port Vale remain in the bottom four despite the draw against Bradford

Mark Yeates' superb first-half free-kick ended Bradford's run of three successive home defeats with a 1-1 draw against League One rivals Port Vale.

The visitors took an early lead when Chris Lines scored from the spot after Vale were awarded a controversial penalty for a Rory McArdle handball.

Yeates levelled before the break with a 25-yard free-kick.

Gary Liddle went close for the hosts, firing wide from 25 yards, while Vale's Chris Birchall hit the woodwork.
