Micah Richards joined Fiorentina from Manchester City on a season-long loan

Micah Richards made his Serie A debut as Fiorentina recorded their first league win of the season.

The 26-year-old defender, who is with on loan at the Italian side from Manchester City, came on as a substitute in the victory at Atalanta.

Fellow substitute Jasmin Kurtic scored with a long-range effort to decide the match.

Richards made his first appearance for his new club as they beat Guingamp 3-0 in the Europa League on Thursday.

England international Richards has been with Manchester City for 12 years but moved to Fiorentina on a season-long loan in the summer.

Slovenia midfielder Kurtic's goal in the 58th minute was his first for the club.
