What a hugely satisfying night for Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri. Sacked by AC Milan in January, he has masterminded a victory that suggests the Old Lady remain the dominant force in Italy.

FULL-TIME

Juventus go three points clear at the top of Serie A after a hard-fought victory at the San Siro. It wasn't a classic but Juve have done enough thanks to a well worked goal involving Paul Pgoba and finished by Carlos Tevez.

YELLOW CARD

Fernando Torres's Italian job starts with a yellow card for a swinging arm.

Both teams look shattered. Mistakes are creeping in and both teams are conceding possession far too easily. Juventus are moments away from a fourth straight clean sheet.

They've won Serie A three years in a row and Juventus are five minutes away from going three points clear at the top of table unless Milan can pull something out of the bag.

What was that? His team is trailing and Adil Rami concedes possession after a woeful attempt from long distance. Paul Pogba and Carlos Tevez power forward but Milan's defence just about does enough to clear the danger.

The last time Carlos Tevez and Fernando Torres were on the same pitch together? April 2013 when Manchester City beat Chelsea in the FA Cup semi-final. Will Tevez triumph again?

AC Milan respond by sending on Fernando Torres. The former Liverpool striker is welcomed by a huge roar from the home fans.

Absolute quality from Paul Pogba and Carlos Tevez as AC Milan's defence is finally unlocked by a wonderful move. Tevez starts it with a pass to Pogba on the edge of the area before the latter threads a delightful ball for the former Manchester City striker to produce a composed finish from six-yards. Can AC Milan respond?

No it's not. Torres will have to wait a little longer as midfielder Giacomo Bonaventura is sent on in place of Stephan El Shaarawy. This game has 0-0 written all over it.

And here comes an AC Milan substitution. Is this the moment for Fernando Torres?

Massimiliano Allegri looks smart in his Juventus blazer as he prowls the touchline. He desperately wants three points against his former club after he was sacked by Milan in January. But the clock is ticking and he is becoming more and more agitated.

Juventus respond through Paul Pogba, the former Manchester United player earning a corner with a deflected shot. The corner is short and ends in Claudio Marchisio firing narrowly wide. This is more like it.

Juventus are enjoying plenty of possession on the edge of the Milan penalty area but the home defence looks solid. Suddenly the hosts break and Stephan El Shaarawy takes a swing - and misses - as a long ball is pumped into the Juve's area.

This game took a while to warm up before the interval. Right now it's about as warm as Salford in mid-January. Very little happening.

How soon before we see Fernando Torres? He hasn't played a competitive game for three months but AC Milan's on-loan striker from Chelsea is on the bench. Surely it cannot be long before we see him step out at the San Siro.

Quiet start to the second-half. Very little to choose between these two teams who both boast 100% winning starts to the campaign. Something has to give.

Atletico's hopes of going top of La Liga vanish on a frustrating night for Diego Simeone's men. It's a terrific point for Celta Vigo who contributed to a game of high entertainment.

Great effort by Atletico's fans. This has been a frustrating night for the reigning champions but few are leaving their seats as the game enters its closing moments. They still believe.

This has been a great effort by Celta Vigo. They arrived in the Spanish capital in good form and they look like returning home with their unbeaten record intact. Atletico are running out of ideas. But will there be a late twist?

Still all to play for at the Vicente Calderon Stadium. Atletico boss Diego Simeone sends down instructions from the main stand to send on Raul Garcia for the final 20 minutes in place of Antoine Griezmann.

No goals but the game is finally opening up between Italy's finest.

Fernando Llorente is thwarted by Milan keeper Christian Abbiati from close range. Then the stopper does well to beat away Roberto Pereyra's powerful strike.

Atletico have the ball in the back of the Celta Vigo net but Raul Jimenez is ruled off-side as he heads home.

Juventus are yet to concede a goal this season and they have keeper Gianluigi Buffon for keeping that record intact as the veteran stopped does brilliantly to keep out Keisuke Honda's header at full-stretch after Sulley Muntari's ball. That's the closest we have come to a goal.

It's tight. It's niggly. And chances at both ends are in short supply.

Juventus started brightly but AC Milan have come back into this but it's fair to say both defences are on top.

We're back underway in Spain. Hugo Mallo causes the Atletico Madrid defence problems after an impressive run but cannot hurt the hosts.

Crunch! This is already turning into a bruising contest. The opening minutes have been littered by free-kicks and Roberto Pereyra is the latest to be on the receiving end as AC Milan's Jeremy Menez does not hold back.

Bright start by Juventus as Roberto Pereyra lets fly from 20-yards. It's not a bad attempt either. The home fans are relieved to see it fly wide but that was close.

Carlos Tevez scored 19 Serie A goals to help propel Juventus to a third straight Serie A title last season and the 30-year-old has wasted no time finding the net this term.

Tevez has netted three times in his last two outings - including two in the Champions League against Malmo in midweek. And he's already looking lively in these early stages.

Cesare Maldini is a former manager and player with Milan, winning Serie A four times during his playing career as well as helping the Italians lift the 1963 European Cup.

The atmosphere is building in the San Siro. Kick-off is less than 10 minutes away between first and second in Serie A.

Celta Vigo will be kicking themselves.

They were in control and moments before the home equaliser, visiting keeper Sergio Alvarez had done well to deny Cristian Ansaldi.

Just when Atletico looked down and out, they win a free-kick which is whipped into the Celta Vigo penalty area for Miranda to stab home from eight-yards.

Frustration growing among the home fans as the red and white shirted hosts carelessly lose possession again. The reigning champions are rattled.

It's worth remembering that Atletico have not lost a home game in La Liga since 12 May 2013. They've played 21 times in the Vicente Calderon since then and won 16 and drawn the other five.

That unbeaten record is under serious threat. Celta Vigo have certainly not turned up to make up the numbers. They are a slick outfit and forward they come looking for a second goal.

Call it what you like but Pablo Hernandez has just scored an incredible goal to stun Atletico.

A long ball forward is pumped into the home penalty area and Hernandez, under pressure from a defender and with his back to goal, sticks out a leg to divert the ball into the net. Brilliant.

A superb run and cross by Juanfran finds Tiago Mendes unmarked on the edge of the Celta Vigo six-yard area but the Portuguese midfielder somehow blasts wide. Incredible.

Mendes can count his lucky stars that Atletico boss Diego Simeone is still serving a touchline ban and is nowhere near the pitch.

Most managers would be delighted after seeing their side score eight goals in one match. Not Carlo Ancelotti. The Real Madrid manager called for his side to keep on improving after ending a two-game losing league run by thrashing Deportivo La Coruna 8-2.

"Today we showed the quality everyone knows we have which is the capability to score in many different ways," added the Italian. "We need to continue improving the balance and our consistency. We have to improve."

BREAKING AC MILAN TEAM NEWS

Fernando Torres in on the substitutes bench for AC Milan.

Real Madrid had lost their previous two La Liga games but a Cristiano Ronaldo hat-trick and Gareth Bale's brace helped them thrash Deportivo La Coruna 8-2 away from home.

Portugal forward Ronaldo struck either side of James Rodriguez's stunning goal to put Real 3-0 up half-time.

Haris Medunjanin scored a penalty for Deportivo six minutes into the second half before Bale scored twice.

Ronaldo then completed this hat-trick, and there was still time for Deportivo's Jose Verdu Toche to score before Javier Hernandez's late double.

But there's more than one big game in Europe and we start in Spain where reigning champions Atletico Madrid can go top of La Liga for the first time if they see off Celta Vigo.

Kick-off is just a few moments away and if it's anything as dramatic as Real Madrid's game earlier then we're in for a belter.

What's the story?

Just to add more intrigue to the occasion, Massimiliano Allegri's former club AC Milan are top of the table.

But the ex-Cagliari boss knows his Juventus side will replace them at the summit with victory.

It's all pointing to a cracking night at the San Siro.

Serie A soap opera

Italy's Serie A campaign is only two games old but this is already a top-versus-second encounter with a sub-plot that would give the Eastenders scriptwriters a run for their money.

Massimiliano Allegri certainly won't get lost in the corridors of the San Siro having spent four years in charge of Milan. His reign got off to a glorious start by sealing the club's 18th title in May 2011. But two seasons without silverware left him under pressure.

He was given his marching orders last January yet returns in charge of the defending champions after being appointed to replace Antonio Conte, now in charge of Italy's national team.

Night for revenge?

He was king of the San Siro after guiding AC Milan to their first Serie A title in seven years in 2011.
