Peterborough United dropped out of the top two in League One as they were held by Oldham.

Jonathan Forte converted a fine Danny Philliskirk delivery to put the visitors in front after six minutes.

Marcus Maddison struck a post from 25 yards before Michael Bostwick levelled with a long-range thunderbolt.

Maddison scored with a free-kick, but Posh failed to hold on as Genseric Kusunga headed in a Mike Jones corner to secure a point for the Latics.

Lee Johnson's side drop down to 12th, while Peterborough are replaced in second by Swindon Town, who won at Leyton Orient.

Oldham manager Lee Johnson told BBC Radio Manchester:

"We came to win the game, we didn't come to just sit there.

"We walk away from a tough game with something in our bag.

"It's really important when you're not playing at you absolute best, you can still dig in and get results and I think that's what this team's got this year."
