Cheltenham Town 1-1 AFC Wimbledon

AFC Wimbledon came from behind to secure a point at Cheltenham, who are without a league win since 30 August.

Captain Matt Taylor put the Robins ahead on eight minutes after he pounced on a loose ball from visiting keeper James Shea.

New arrival Raffaele De Vita went close to making it 2-0 with a long-range effort which flew just over.

The Dons' equaliser came before the break when Barrett tapped in after Cheltenham failed to clear.

Cheltenham Town manager Mark Yates told BBC Radio Gloucestershire:

"We could have been talking two or three or four goals in the first half, with four good chances.

"We have to deal in the reality at the moment, we're finding hard to get the goals we'd really like, but we'll just keep working at it.

"We're not fretting about it, we know we're still a work in progress, but if we keep picking up points and keep giving ourselves a chance in games then we'll be OK."

AFC Wimbledon boss Neal Ardley told BBC London 94.9:

'We were disappointed that we didn't win the game. They edged the first half and they caused us one or two problems and we didn't solve them.

"At half-time we told the side how they needed to solve the problems and they did.

'The second half they didn't have any clear-cut chances or many attempts on goal and we carried a good threat.

'It is a good point, it was a resilient point. We didn't want to be sloppy at the back. Everyone should be pleased with how we have played."
