Rob Edwards: Tranmere manager calls for fans backing

Rob Edwards took over at Tranmere in the summer after they were relegated to League Two
Tranmere Rovers manager Rob Edwards has called for supporters to back the team after criticism aimed at him.
During Saturday's 1-0 loss at Carlisle, some Tranmere fans displayed banners calling for Edwards to be sacked.
The 41-year-old took over in May following the club's relegation to League Two, but they have struggled, winning just twice so far this season.
"I'm not enjoying that the fans think I'm hopeless and don't like me, but that's how it is," Edwards said.
He told BBC Radio Merseyside: "I've got to get on with it. I understand what the job is and I'm determined to turn it around.
"As I look over and see the fans with a nice, big 'Edwards out' banner, I think it probably tells the players where we all are at the moment."

Edwards is in his first managerial role following his three-year spell as a coach and then assistant manager at Exeter.
"Our confidence is pretty wafer thin at the moment," added Edwards. "When we go one goal down, you can see that players are getting anxious and anxiety is going throughout the side and all of us - I think because we're desperate for a result.
"We've been losing football matches for far too long. It's difficult at the moment, I can't kid myself, I'm ever so disappointed how we've start the season."
