Liam McAlinden: Fleetwood Town bring in Wolves striker

McAlinden had made just two appearances so far this season for Wolves

Fleetwood Town have signed Wolves striker Liam McAlinden on a loan deal until 3 January.

The 21-year-old spent time in League One last season at Shrewsbury, scoring three goals in nine appearances.

McAlinden has come through the youth academy at Wolves and last year switched his allegiance to Republic of Ireland from Northern Ireland.

"There was contact he'd be available and there were a few clubs in for him," said Fleetwood boss Graham Alexander.

"We were keen to do something and we're really pleased that he's wanted to come to us to try and establish himself."
