He was punched by Baggies team-mate James Morrison in a dressing room row in April after a 3-3 draw with Cardiff.

"I'll never blame anyone for what I went through," said Berahino.

The England Under-21 international irritated his former West Brom manager Steve Clarke, external when he tweeted "time to be selfish" after being left out of the 2-2 draw with Aston Villa last November.

Berahino also attracted negative headlines with a tweet, external minutes after West Brom announced Clarke had lost his job in December. The player claimed at the time he was reacting after his car suffered a puncture.

"I put myself in certain situations that gave people the space to talk about me," added Berahino, in an interview with BBC Radio 5 live's Pat Murphy.

"I broke into the Premier League quickly and didn't understand certain things and got naive doing certain stuff. But I've learned from it."
