Scotland v Georgia- European 2016 qualifying

Date: Saturday, 11 October. Venue: Ibrox Stadium, Glasgow. Kick-off: 17:00 BST.

Coach Temur Ketsbaia believes Georgia can earn a positive result against Scotland, despite having some key players unavailable.

Injured pair Guram Kashia and Levan Mchedlidze will miss the match at Ibrox.

"We have not come here to lose the game," said former Newcastle United and Dundee player Ketsbaia.

"If we do what we have to do, I think we have a chance to get something from the game."

Like the Scots, Georgia opened their Euro 2016 qualifying campaign with a 2-1 defeat.

Republic of Ireland beat the Georgians shortly before Gordon Strachan's Scotland lost in Germany.

"Scotland showed against Germany that they're a very good team with some very good players," Ketsbaia told BBC Radio Scotland's Sportsound. "We have to be careful.

Ketsbaia says Strachan's Scotland "work hard for each other"

"Every team that [Gordon Strachan] was coaching before were always very hard to beat and were a team. They tried very hard for each other. He's also managed to do that in the national team."

Ketsbaia believes domestic football in Georgia is "going backwards" and feels too many of the players the country produces play their club football in eastern Europe.

"Not many players are playing abroad in countries like England, Germany, Spain or Italy," explained Ketsbaia, who considers Germany and Poland to be the favourites in Group D.

"This is our problem. Not many players from Georgia are going and playing at that level. It's a very hard time for the national team.

"In Georgia, the level is very low so to bring the players from that level to play for the national team is very difficult.

"But we have young players and this is a good opportunity for them to go out and show that they are capable to play at this level and maybe get some good chances to play in England, Italy, Germany or wherever.

"Unfortunately, we have some injuries, we have some players that are missing but the other players that are here, they are trying very hard and they're doing everything to go out Saturday and do their best and get a good result."
