Scotland's goalscorers Steven Naismith and Shaun Maloney celebrate after the former made it 2-1

Scotland had to settle for a point in Poland as the home side battled back to earn a 2-2 Euro 2016 qualifying draw with Gordon Strachan's side.

Krzysztof Maczynski gave the hosts the lead in Warsaw before Shaun Maloney levelled and Steven Naismith made it 2-1 in Scotland's favour.

Arkadiusz Milik squared it to ensure a share of the spoils for the Poles, leaving Scotland on four points after three games in what boss Strachan labelled the toughest group of the qualification campaign.

But which of the Scots stood out and who didn't quite bring their 'A' game to Warsaw?

BBC Scotland pundit and former Scotland defender Willie Miller gives his marks out of 10.

David Marshall 7

Had a couple of nervous moments in the first half when he didn't deal too well with things, but he made a magnificent save in the second half from Robert Lewandowski. Looked solid as the game went on and it was a very good performance.

Alan Hutton 6

The right back had a really bad touch for the Poland opener and the pass was also played in behind him for their second goal. He was good going forward but certainly not his best night defensively.

Gordon Greer 8

He slotted into the defence exceptionally well beside Russell Martin and formed a very good partnership with the Norwich man. Looked solid throughout.

Russell Martin 8

Martin used all his experience in Warsaw and showed his class to great effect as he marshalled the back line superbly. Made a number of very intelligent interceptions to help cope with a very useful Poland front-line.

Steven Whittaker 7

The left-back, in for youngster Andrew Robertson, had a very good first half and dealt well with everything that came his way. He was under more pressure after the break as a lot more came down his flank. He was caught on a couple of occasions but overall a good display.

Scott Brown 9

He was Scotland's best man. Brown led by example all night going forward but particularly in defensive areas. The skipper was a huge influence on the overall performance.

Ikechi Anya 7

Anya was quieter than normal but still a threat on the break throughout the 90 minutes. He got in a few times thanks to his pace and played a superb pass to Shaun Maloney for the Scotland equaliser.

James Morrison 7

Brown overshadowed him slightly in midfield him but he was still very effective. He kept the ball moving and his passing was accurate.

Shaun Maloney 8

Very effective playing off Steven Fletcher and got the crucial equaliser. It wasn't an easy one to finish but he opened his body up well to slot the ball home brilliantly from Ikechi Anya's pass.

Steven Naismith 7

Did everything he was asked by his manager, offering a threat going forward and also getting back to help out in defence when needed. Took his goal exceptionally well, although he didn't have too many other opportunities.

Steven Fletcher 7

The striker led the line brilliantly and showed great strength to hold the ball up and link play. Produced a cracking pass to pick out Ikechi Anya at the Scotland leveller. Fell out of it a bit in the second half after putting in a great shift.

Darren Fletcher (for Steven Fletcher, 71 minutes) 6

Came on and showed what he's capable of as his composure proved vital in the closing stages.

Chris Martin (for Steven Naismith, 71 minutes) 6

It was a horrible shift having to come on when it was all Poland but did what he was asked and worked hard for the team.

Willie Miller was speaking to BBC Scotland's Roddie McVake.
