Ballinamallard clinched back-to-back league wins for the first time this season with a 2-0 victory over Dungannon Swifts at Ferney Park.

Jason McCartney netted a 17th minute penalty before Dungannon's Jamie Douglas headed wide.

Alvin Rouse kept out a Ryan Campbell strike and Stefan McCusker saved from Matt Hazley before Liam Martin fired into the bottom corner to make it 2-0.

Dungannon stay second bottom and are now four points behind the Mallards.

McCartney sent his spot-kick into the top corner after Martin was fouled to set the hosts on their way to a third Premiership win.

Douglas wasted a good chance to level when he headed wide from Gary Liggett's cross.

McCusker tipped over an Andrew Burns effort as both sides created openings in the first half.

Rouse and McCusker made important second-half saves before Martin's clinical finish with 18 minutes remaining.
