- Published
A second-half strike from Ian Parkhill gave Coleraine a Premiership victory over Glentoran at the Showgrounds.
Glens striker Curtis Allen fired wide when well placed while Bannsiders keeper Michael Doherty made a fine save to keep out Steven Gordon's volley.
Parkhill fired into the bottom corner on 53 minutes before Doherty denied Jay Magee and Allen struck the bar from a late free-kick.
The win takes Coleraine level on points with the seventh-placed Glens.
Ruairi Harkin and Mark Miskimmin went close for Coleraine in the early stages of a disappointing first half.
Allen squandered a good chance to put the visitors ahead on 30 minutes, failing to find the target with just Doherty to beat.
Darren McCauley set up the only goal of the game, providing the cut-back for Parkhill to finish from 12 yards.
Glens substitute Magee saw his header brilliantly saved by Doherty before the woodwork came to Coleraine's rescue as Allen's dipping free-kick hit the bar with seven minutes left.
Gordon's goal-bound header was cleared in a frantic finale with the Bannsiders hanging on for all three points.
