John O'Sullivan has extended his loan spell at Accrington Stanley from Blackburn Rovers until 20 December.

The 21-year-old joined on an initial one-month loan in September and scored twice on his debut against Northampton.

The Republic of Ireland Under-21 midfielder has gone onto make five appearances so far at Stanley.

"I spoke to (Blackburn manager) Gary Bowyer just the other day and told him that it's important to get league experience," O'Sullivan said.

"I said that I wanted to stay longer than a month and thankfully Blackburn have agreed. I am enjoying the experience and I don't think anyone has seen the best of me yet."
