Before this season, Potts had scored twice in 75 games for Carlisle - he has seven goals this term

Carlisle United manager Keith Curle says he has been told several times that Brad Potts' agent is touting the midfielder around to find a new club.

Curle was appointed in September with the Cumbrians bottom of League Two, and has taken 12 points from a possible 21.

Potts, 20, has scored three times since the former England defender's arrival.

Curle 'unconcerned' by Potts' agent

"It doesn't bother me. Brad's agent can talk to whoever because more interest means the price goes up and we don't have to sell him anyway," said Curle.

A graduate of the club's academy, Hexham-born Potts has played many of his 93 Carlisle games at full-back, but this season has been regularly used in central midfield.

"Managers stick together and I got a call telling me Brad's agent was trying to sell him, and our head of recruitment Lee Dykes has had the same," Curle, 50, told BBC Radio Cumbria.

"I'm not concerned at all because he's entitled to sell his product wherever he wants.

"I spoke with Pottsy and told him to enjoy himself and to keep doing what he's doing, then everyone will get their rewards."
