Kemar Roofe joins Colchester United from West Brom

Roofe's last first-team game came for Cheltenham against his former club Northampton in February

Colchester United have signed midfielder Kemar Roofe on a one-month loan from West Brom.

The 21-year-old went out on loan to Northampton in 2012 and played nine times during a spell at Cheltenham Town last season.

He has also played in Iceland for Reykjavík side Vikingur, but is yet to feature for the Baggies.

"Kemar fits into our way of playing, can play all across the front and he has pace," said U's boss Tony Humes.
