Walsall and Peterborough played out a goalless draw with both having late penalty claims turned down.

Adam Chambers shot wide for Walsall while home defender Paul Downing gave the ball away but Joe Newell shot over.

Jon Taylor's free-kick for Peterborough led to a goalmouth scramble but the ball was cleared off the line.

Posh defender Ricardo Santos and home full-back Ben Purkiss both seemed to handle in the box late on but referee Andy Woolmer ignored both claims.
