Mansfield Town 1-1 Concord Rangers

Jordan Chiedozie's spectacular 30-yard strike secured Conference South side Concord Rangers a home replay with Mansfield in the FA Cup first round.

Chiedozie, son of the former Tottenham and Notts County winger John, scored a wonder goal which went in off the post into the top corner to level the tie.

His effort came just 51 seconds after Danny Glozier had headed past his own keeper to put Mansfield into the lead.

Chiedozie had a chance to win it but his mis-hit shot was tipped over.

Concord, nicknamed the Beach Boys, were made to wait for their FA Cup first-round debut as the original tie was postponed because of a waterlogged pitch.

The Stags had early chances with Rakish Bingham and Adam Murray both having shots blocked while at the other end, Tony Stokes shot straight at Sascha Studer.

Glozier headed a Liam Marsden throw past Josh Vickers to hand Mansfield an 18th-minute lead, but the non-league side equalised straight from the restart as Chiedozie's long-range strike stunned the home crowd.

Goalkeeper Vickers, on loan at Concord from Premier League side Arsenal, had to be at his best to deny Bingham following a Fergus Bell through-ball.

After Chiedozie's second-half chance, Mansfield nearly snatched it at the end but Vickers produced a superb save to stop a Chris Clements free-kick.

The two sides now face a first-round replay, with the winners away to Cambridge United in the second round.

Concord Rangers manager Danny Cowley told BBC Essex:

"We've just taken a League side all the way, their goalkeeper's won man of the match.

"The boys have put a colossal effort in. I'm so proud of them. For the players to put the energy and the commitment that they did throughout the game was testament to their fitness and their will.

"We got a standing ovation from their whole support and that means everything to us.

"We're a small club, we have a small support ourselves. We're not used to getting too many pats on the back, so tonight's a special night for everyone."
