Ballinamallard beat Institute 2-0 at Drumahoe in the Irish Premiership

Ballinamallard secured their first away win of the Premiership campaign by defeating Institute at Drumahoe.

It was a game of two penalties, the first one missed by Institute when Aaron Walsh dragged wide.

Jason McCartney made no mistake with his spot-kick as he fired the Mallards ahead on 55 minutes.

Liam Martin and Liam McMenamin hit the woodwork for the visitors before David Kee fired into the bottom corner with 10 minutes remaining.

Walsh failed to find the target from 12 yards in the eighth minute after Mark Stafford's foul on Jordan Armstrong.

Stafford almost levelled when his lob found the roof of the net and McCartney equalised following keeper Eugene Ferry's foul on Martin.

Martin headed against the bar and McMenamin's header found a post before Kee's strike trickled into the Institute net.

The Mallards leapfrog Institute into ninth place on goal difference with Whitey Anderson's side now seven points clear of basement boys Warrenpoint.
