Republic of Ireland boss Martin O'Neill has released Robbie Keane and Darron Gibson from his squad for Tuesday's friendly against the United States.
Striker Keane, a substitute in Friday's 1-0 Euro 2016 qualifying defeat by Scotland, returns to LA Galaxy, who face Seattle in the MLS play-offs.
Everton midfielder Gibson, meanwhile, is heading back to Merseyside for treatment on a minor knee problem.
Tuesday's game in Dublin is the Republic's final outing of 2014.
They will look to end the year on a high note after suffering the first defeat of their Euro 2016 qualifying campaign in Glasgow.
