Jermaine Easter: Bristol Rovers chase Millwall and Wales striker
- Published
Football Conference side Bristol Rovers are trying to sign former Wales striker Jermaine Easter from Millwall.
The 32-year-old has not played for the Championship club since September, and his last goal was in December 2013.
"Jermaine was a young professional when I was at Hartlepool. He got in contact with me, he's a Cardiff boy and is wanting to get home," Rovers boss Darrell Clarke told BBC Radio Bristol.
"Normally to get a player like him is a long shot but we're trying."
Easter, who signed a new contract with Millwall in the summer, started his career as a trainee with Wolves and has since played at another 11 clubs, as well as winning 12 international caps.
