MK Dons closed the gap on League One leaders Bristol City to five points but they were held to a draw by Rochdale.

Will Grigg's lob from Dele Alli's pass put the home side ahead, but Rochdale levelled 90 seconds later when Tom Flanagan put through his own net.

Ben Reeves hit the crossbar after the break as MK seemed well on top.

But Reuben Noble-Lazarus's long-range strike looked to have won it for the visitors, before sub Danny Green pounced from close range to level.

Flanagan had a chance in injury-time to win it but was unable to find the target from a loose ball in the penalty area.

MK Dons still have two games in hand on leaders Bristol City, while Rochdale's point sees them close the gap on the play-off places.
