Rochdale 4-1 Aldershot Town

Rochdale will host Nottingham Forest in the third round of the FA Cup as Matt Done's hat-trick saw off Aldershot.

Done put in Joe Rafferty's cross for Rochdale's opener, only for the Conference side to equalise when Dan Fitchett nodded in Sam Hatton's corner.

But former Shots striker Peter Vincenti hooked in from six yards just two minutes later.

And Done finished off the tie when he scored a one-on-one and then tucked away Calvin Andrew's cut-back.

Aldershot, two divisions below their League One opponents, had earned the replay with a 0-0 draw, but will now focus on improving their 16th-place position in the Conference.

Aldershot Town boss Andy Scott told BBC Surrey:

Scott on Rochdale v Aldershot

"The scoreline probably doesn't reflect the game at all, but if you make errors against good sides, they punish you. We got the equaliser and we were on the ascendancy, but to concede a goal a couple of minutes after was criminal.

"It also shows we make mistakes when we have the ball. We've been punished and that's what unfortunately happened. We didn't deserve the 4-1 scoreline.

"We've got to have players learn from mistakes and we will work on things in training and we've got to move the ball better for the whole game against every team we play."
