Jack Redshaw scored in each half as Morecambe heaped more misery on Hartlepool, who remain at the foot of the Football League.

The Shrimps made their dominance count when Redshaw curled home from 20 yards to break the deadlock after 22 minutes.

Pools failed to find an equaliser in the second half before Kevin Ellison supplied Redshaw for his second of the game.

Hartlepool, without a win in eight games, sit eight points from safety.

Morecambe, meanwhile, registered a first win on their travels in five League Two fixtures.
