Hartlepool United boss Ronnie Moore has released Dutch winger Sidney Schmeltz.

Moore has also opted not to extend the loan spells of Cambridge United defender Matteo Lanzoni and Sheffield United striker Joe Ironside.

Ironside netted his first Football League goal in the 1-1 draw with Oxford United during his four-game stay, while Lanzoni has not figured since the FA Cup exit to non-league Blyth Spartans.

The much-travelled Schmeltz signed on a short-term deal at the end of October.

Three months without a league win

Pools have not won in 11 League Two matches since their 2-1 triumph at Exeter City on 11 October

Pools remain bottom of the Football League going into 2015, eight points adrift of safety, but Moore's men ended a run of five defeats when they drew with Oxford in his first game in charge.

And having also drawn at Mansfield, Sunday's 2-0 home defeat by Morecambe, was their first loss in three games since he took over as the club's fourth manager this season.
