Petr Cech will stay at Chelsea after third-choice goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer confirmed he is joining Premier League strugglers Leicester.

The Australian, 42, arrived at Stamford Bridge from Fulham in 2013 as cover for Cech and made four league appearances.

With Thibaut Courtois taking over as the Blues' number one keeper this season, there had been speculation that Cech, 32, might leave.

But Jose Mourinho said there is "no chance" of the Czech departing.

With Schwarzer leaving, goalkeeper Jamal Blackman, 21, will return to Chelsea from a loan at Championship side Middlesbrough.

"Jose thanks Mark Schwarzer for being a fantastic professional and says there is no chance of Petr Cech leaving," said Chelsea, external on Twitter.

Schwarzer, the first overseas player to make 500 English top-flight appearances, moved to England in 1996, with Bradford City. A year later he joined Middlesbrough, where he made more than 400 appearances in 11 years, before switching to Fulham in 2008.
