Nigeria youth international Moses Simon says he is excited by his move to KAA Gent and wants to achieve success with the Belgian club.

Simon, 19, has joined Gent on a three-year deal from Slovakian side AS Trencin for an undisclosed fee.

The winger was previously linked with a move to Tottenham and Liverpool.

He admits he has already been impressed with what he has seen from the East Flanders outfit.

"I'm very happy to be in KAA Gent because the club are on way up and I want to be a part of it," Simon told BBC Sport.

"I've seen all the facilities and the new stadium, it's all very impressive."

Several sides were interested in Simon but, after coming down to see the facility at Gent, he says there was only ever going to be one club he signed for.

"It's just a very professional set-up, ideal for a young player to progress in Europe.

"The facilities truly reflect the club's plans for upcoming players and that's priceless.

"I'm really looking forward to getting to learn, progress and most importantly to win things here in the future."

Simon who scored 17 goals in 38 appearances for AS Trencin has been called up by the Nigeria under-20 team for the 2015 African Youth Championship in Senegal.

He was in the country's squad to the 2013 Fifa U-20 World Cup in Turkey.

Simon has been tipped to become the next Nigerian wide man to make his mark in Europe and follow in the footsteps of Ahmed Musa and Victor Moses.
