Denny Johnstone: Birmingham striker extends Macclesfield loan

Denny Johnstone was a regular in Celtic's Uefa Youth League side last season

Conference side Macclesfield Town have extended the loan spell of Birmingham City striker Denny Johnstone until the end of the season.

The 20-year-old joined the Silkmen on loan in November and has scored twice in seven league appearances so far.

Johnstone moved to Birmingham from Celtic last summer on a three-year deal and featured twice for Blues before moving to Moss Rose.

The Scotland Under-19 international has helped the club to third in the league.
