Josh Scowen: Barnsley sign Wycombe midfielder

Barnsley have signed Wycombe Wanderers midfielder Josh Scowen on a two-and-a-half-year deal for an undisclosed fee.

The 21-year-old made 91 league appearances for the Chairboys after making his debut at the age of 17.

"Looking at him, he's got the heart of a lion - that's what we need and what we want," Tykes boss Danny Wilson told the club website.

He could make his debut for the Oakwell side in Saturday's trip to Yorkshire rivals Doncaster Rovers.
