Paris St-Germain moved level on points with second-placed Marseille in Ligue 1 after Zlatan Ibrahimovic's penalty secured victory at St Etienne.
Ibrahimovic, who claimed a laser had been pointed in his face by a fan as he prepared to shoot, slotted home after Jeremy Clement handled in the box.
Edinson Cavani came close to doubling the visitors' second-half lead but his lob hit the crossbar.
