Preston North End 1-0 Coventry City

Kevin Davies hit his first goal of the season, the 150th of his career, as Preston beat Coventry to pick up their first win in six League One games.
The veteran striker, who scored and got sent off in last season's corresponding fixture, headed home Paul Gallagher's floated cross from eight yards on 21 minutes for the only goal of the game.
Frank Nouble could have equalised, but skied over the bar from six yards.
Then John Fleck's injury-time 35-yard left-foot strike hit the woodwork.

Coventry City have an awful record against Preston North End, having won just once in 20 league meetings with them over the last decade. The Sky Blues have never won in 18 league visits now to Deepdale, although they have won there twice in cup games - in the FA Cup in January 1910 and again in a League Cup second-round first-leg tie in September 2010. |
That leaves Coventry still without a league win in 18 visits to Deepdale.
But Davies was close to a second goal before the break when Gallagher's cross evaded two defenders and was chested goalwards by the striker from close range, only for goalkeeper Lee Burge to push it over the bar.
North End remain fourth, while Coventry slip to 20th, but are still three points clear of trouble.
Sky Blues manager Steven Pressley told BBC Coventry & Warwickshire:
"A point was a minimum we deserved. We were excellent. We created great moments but just couldn't capitalise.
"I know ultimately it's about winning but if you ask 'Could the team give any more? Could we have more control of the game away from home against a promotion chasing team?', then the answer would be no.
"Overall I was really satisfied. As a manager the one thing you can't guarantee is results but, if you get that kind of performance, then more often than not you'll get the result."
