Scott Booth has been sacked as manager of Stenhousemuir, less than a year after taking over at Ochilview.

The 43-year-old former Scotland striker leaves the League One side sitting eighth in the table, just two points above the play-off spot.

Booth scored six international goals in 22 appearances between 1993 and 2001 and began coaching with the Scottish FA in late 2011.

He left his role as Scotland U17s coach to join Stenhousemuir.

Saturday's 2-0 loss at Peterhead was the club's fourth defeat in a five-game run without a victory.
